This book works with 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional visual spatial relationships as users practice simple cutting, folding, and taping exercises in creating a cityscape — a collective of basic and compound forms representative of various civic icons.
This book builds into a three-dimensional map of Paris featuring 5 iconic locations: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc du Triumph, the glass pyramid of the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Ponte Neuf — the oldest bridge in Paris — in geographic relation to one another, as well as highlighting the path of the Seine River through these landmarks.
The introductory pages of the book include a mini-book of facts about all of the locations highlighted in the book. As well as a practice build and an example of how to create your own additional items for the city such as trees, bushes, and other landmarks.
All exercises require basic cutting, folding, and gluing or taping and are designed for safety scissors and easy access to necessary actions.
